ABSTRACT

How do a spiritual foundation, academics, and therapeutic efforts come together for an effective approach to helping others in a university laboratory school? In this chapter, I discuss the transition in my life from early spiritual development to becoming a professional therapist and how mentoring served as a common empowering vehicle for all three realisms of my life, spiritual, academic, and therapeutic. In addition, I explain and illustrate how synergistic comentoring provides a practical, powerful process for growth, learning, and development in schools, churches, and in families.
