ABSTRACT
We… have focused too long on one particular model, the Profit maximizing firm, and in particular a variant of that model, the unfettered market. We have seen that that model does not work, and it is clear that we need alternative models. We need also to do more to identify the contribution that these alternative forms of organisation are making to our society, and when I say that, the contribution is not just a contribution to GDP, but a contribution to satisfaction.
