ABSTRACT

Forty or more years ago, the “gatekeeper” (not to be confused with Zuul, the gatekeeper of Gozer in the movie Ghostbusters) was the point of contact for external sources of information for an organizational team or department. However, the development of the Internet made the role of the gate-keeper redundant, and nowadays, everyone is expected to keep up to date and abreast of pertinent information through their computer.
