ABSTRACT

In the past decade, at least in the world of cognitive therapy, there has been an increasing interest in brain function, and both observation and conjecture about neurological correlates of dissociation have contributed to our understanding of the neuropsychology of dissociation. This understanding has been incorporated into several widely used psychological models of flashbacks (e.g. Ehlers and Clark, 2000; Brewin, 2001b) and other dissociative phenomena such as derealization (Baker, Hunter, Lawrence and David, 2007).
