ABSTRACT

This chapter reviews the development and implementation of a collaborative project (the Feedback for Learning Campaign) between students and staff that aimed to influence student perceptions of assessment feedback. In doing so it sought to raise awareness of the role of feedback in enhancing student learning, thereby encouraging dialogue at all levels of a higher education institution. Ultimately it was hoped that the campaign would improve the experience of assessment feedback for all students, and as a result improve the institution’s scores against assessment and feedback in the National Student Survey (NSS). The chapter looks at the background, impetus and context of the campaign, describes its strategy and the lessons learnt.
