ABSTRACT
As shown in the flow chart in Figure 12.1, the wiki exemplar evolved over the course of three rounds of testing and four designs. The original design was first created for the Usable Content Seminar based on the increasing popularity of wikis as a form of web-based communication. This popularity was reflected in the growing numbers of users, editors, and articles on Wikipedia and the growing attention wikis received for their collaborative possibilities in both business and educational contexts.
