ABSTRACT

The Kukula traditional health practitioners (healers) of the Kruger to Canyons Biosphere Reserve (K2C), also known as the traditional health practitioners of Bushbuckridge, South Africa, have cared for their communities’ physical, cultural and spiritual well-being through involvement in traditional medicine and cultural ceremonies for centuries. The healers hold various forms of traditional knowledge (TK) in relation to the uses of their local medicinal plants.
