ABSTRACT

The Virtual Choir 1 involves people collaborating at a distance from one another, singing alone to have a part in an online choir. There have been several Virtual Choir (VC) projects and they provide compelling examples of what can be achieved through committed collaborations within informal learning networks. An intriguing aspect in this case study is the intensity of the emotional experiences evoked by the artifacts created in VC, for those who have participated as choir members and on those who experience one of their productions. For this reason, before discussing the Virtual Choir’s architecture in more detail, we would like to invite you to experience the Virtual Choir.
