ABSTRACT
The concept of embracing diverse people, coupled with the deliberate act of including those different from us, is the key to unlocking the vast array of talents, abilities, and potential of the most important resource of any organization – its people. In the following pages I will share with you some of my experiences as a soldier over the past 28 years, and how those experiences helped shape me and ultimately led me through my equal opportunity training experience – an event that was life-changing for me.
