ABSTRACT

Online gaming has become a topic of increasing research interest. Over the last decade there has been a significant increase in the number of empirical studies examining various aspects of online gaming compared to the preceding decade. This has resulted in a wide-ranging selection of papers focusing on different aspects of the topic including many on problematic and addictive play (Kuss and Griffiths, 2012) and gaming addiction treatment (King, Delfabbro, and Griffiths, 2012; King, Delfabbro, Griffiths, and Gradisar, 2011).
