ABSTRACT

The National Museum of Science & Industry (NMSI) is the world’s preeminent museum devoted to the history of science, technology, industry and medicine. As well as the Science Museum, it incorporates the Science Museum Library and the Wellcome Museum of the History of Medicine at South Kensington, the National Railway Museum at York, the National Museum of Photography, Film & Television at Bradford, Wroughton Airfield, Concorde 002 and the associated exhibition at Yeovilton (which are now managed for the NMSI by the Fleet Air Arm Museum), and two storage sites in the Greater London area.
