ABSTRACT
Derived from topography and first used in the military and navigation sciences, the concept of triangulation has been fruitfully adapted to social science inquiry (Campbell and Fiske 1959; Jick 1979; Webb et al. 1966). Information coming from different angles or perspectives is used to corroborate, elaborate or illuminate the research problem. Triangulation limits personal and methodological biases and enhances a study’s trustworthiness.
