A theory about the translation of cognition into affect and behavior

The present chapter is an attempt to answer these questions. As is detailed in the first major section of this chapter, the available data present a reasonably solid basis for answering the first question. In contrast, there are few solid data for an answer to the second question. Nevertheless, we present a theory in the second major section that is designed to answer it.
