ABSTRACT
This chapter is based on the results of experience in a variety of management contexts so I hope that a brief personal history will assist the reader to relate to the origins of the views expressed. As the Registrar at Worcester College of Higher Education I, together with a Registry staff of sixteen, have responsibility for student admissions, progress and completions as well as the operation and development of the quality assurance systems of the College.
