ABSTRACT
Joe Lister is a web developer and works in industry for Internet developmentcompanies and for the marketing divisions of large media companies.Joe works primarily in situations where web development is divided between two areas. On the ‘server side’, the developers create server-based technology that creates the content to define the workings of the website. On the ‘client side’, the page content is dynamically created from a database generating content according to the user’s request. As a ‘client side’ developer, Joe is responsible for defining the layout and the visual elements that the user sees on the website.
