ABSTRACT
Lowe deals with an ancient problem, which may be traced back to Socrates, whose permanent presence in philosophy textbooks and papers suggests that a significant change is needed in the initial assumptions. In fact, all possible paths moying from these assumptions haye been widely explored, but with limited success.
