ABSTRACT

Natalie Morales started her new position at Chipex Manufacturing by wondering what the project would entail. It was her first consulting job after having recently earned a master’s degree in instructional technology (IT). When one of her former professors alerted her to this opportunity, Natalie jumped at the chance. Natalie had previously worked for this professor on a number of IT jobs in manufacturing settings and felt this would be right up her alley—in a large, semiconductor organization that manufactures electronic microchips used in everything from computers to traffic lights to cell phones. Although this particular factory was in the Southwest, Chipex was a large manufacturer with factories all over the United States and the world.
