ABSTRACT

The work of CIFEDHOP in the field of training for the teaching of human rights and peace is by definition interdisciplinary. Three distinctive disciplines, at least, are involved: pedagogy, law (and more specifically international law on human rights) and peace research. Ideological tensions have tended to keep these three domains separate and only recently have the main protagonists, teachers and law practitioners learned how to communicate and co-operate closely on the training of teachers, children and adults in the field of human rights and peace.
