ABSTRACT

One of the most frequently asked questions about electronic government, or e-government, is “What is it?” Because the study and practice of e-government is only in its infancy, a precise definition is hard to come by, and those working in the field will certainly argue about what exactly is encompassed in the concept of e-government. One thing we are sure of, though, is that e-government is far more than simply making some public information and certain citizen services available via a Website.
