At length comes forth a poetical work that possesses not only the three avowedly grand recommendations of time, place, and circumstance—of such moment in all worldly matters; but, so far as regards Literature, the three no less important, though, alas! far less frequent, recommendations, of defying enemies—rendering the favourable sentiments of friends superfluous—and the quackery of the trade wholly unnecessary….
