ABSTRACT
The greater part of Dr Fargues’s arguments are based on Europe’s alleged economic need for migrants. He does not even try to answer my counterarguments, based on the already observable impact of computerisation and automation, and the high levels of unemployment among both the indigenous working classes and immigrant youth. Indeed, the words ‘computerisation’ and ‘automation’ appear nowhere in his work.
