George Shackle’s economic thought has clear links with the economics of Friedrich Hayek and of John Maynard Keynes. Given his celebrated linkage of Post Keynesianism and the economics of the Austrian School, it may seem a little far-fetched to claim some connection with institutional economics as well. 1
