In approaching the Franco-Maghrebi ‘‘special relationship,’’ one should
raise the question whether such a ‘‘special relationship’’ is not mere myth?
For 40 years France tried to impose a vision of its foreign policy regarding
North African countries as a positive exception in the global framework of
world diplomatic relations. How true is such an assertion?
