ABSTRACT

“I know what to do but I just can’t seem to do it.” How many times does a therapist hear those words from clients? The challenge for the therapist is to somehow assist the client in unifying the insight achieved through therapy, the desire for change, and the change itself. Therapy is never completed until this unity is achieved. Such a “meeting of the minds” within the individual involves a hypnotic process which facilitates movement beyond the limitations/impasse toward solving the life problem by recognizing and embracing the resources previously hidden from the client’s awareness.
