ABSTRACT
Perspective is defined as a way of regarding situations and judging their relative importance. As each coaching ‘situation’ is unique, this paper is based on one particular Rugby Union football club. It considers strategies used by the coach to understand, evaluate and enhance the motivation of the players involved.
