ABSTRACT

The Inglenook Estate has become the Niebaum-Coppola Estate, but for Rafael Rodriguez this is a distinction without a difference. While he celebrates the memory of Gustave Niebaum, respects the integrity of John Daniel, Jr., and admires the vision of Francis and Eleanor Coppola, Rafael knows that this extraordinary land, this majestic place, can never truly be owned. The estate has its own set of imperatives that dictate its stewardship. Rafael has given himself to this historic ground and these vineyards have given him life.
