ABSTRACT
All of the programs presented here are based on a theory of language and language processing that we have been developing over the last twelve years. The theory has undergone many changes during that time. What we shall present here is intended to emphasize the main points of our current thinking as well as to give some historical perspective on why the ideas evolved at the time that they did and in the way that they did.
