ABSTRACT

Trust in intuition and analytics is a subject of many studies. Data quality is ensured not only by the correctness of algorithms, but also by the high quality data that are necessary to obtain correct results from the data and usage analysis. Unfortunately, the currently available quality standards and quality assessment methods are inadequate. This is especially true in education, where funding for the assessment of educational quality is limited. This chapter addresses the factors that determine educational data quality and how educators and school administrators can determine what data to trust and use.
