ABSTRACT

Choosing a site for applied work is one of the most important decisions a trainee will make. There are many considerations and steps involved in determining and then contacting appropriate sites. This chapter provides relevant information about factors to consider when choosing a site, such as type of sport and age of clients, as well as who to contact, how to “pitch yourself” confidently and professionally, and what questions to ask the site contact. This process can seem daunting, but this chapter aims to make it feel less so.
