ABSTRACT

While applied work is often enjoyable and rewarding, it can feel uncertain and uncomfortable for individuals starting out. The classroom and the field are vastly different arenas, and this chapter discusses how trainees can apply what they have studied to their work with clients. Trainees must understand how to market both their services and themselves, how to create a busy schedule, and then understand what to do with the clients when working with them. This chapter guides trainees through it all.
