ABSTRACT
The book’s summary (final) Chapter 12 synthesizes findings from the disparate chapters and summarizes the main challenges for promoting sustainable intensification of agriculture with smallholders as the main target group. The chapter presents technology, capacity building, institutional and policy options for sustainable intensification of major food crops. Towards the end, the chapter provides some conclusions and suitable recommendations for sustainable intensification of agriculture to ensure future food and nutrition security in the face of climate change.
