Use these techniques to decipher a complex rhythm. Note that you may have used many of these techniques previously as you worked through rhythm chapters of this text.
1. Determine the smallest note-value you will count. For example, if the rhythm uses numerous 32nd and 64th notes, you may need to count 16th notes rather than quarters or eighths.
