Minor triads occur in three places in the major scale and two places in the minor scale:
Singing
1. Use the tonic (i) triad in the minor mode consisting of scale degrees 1, 3, and 5, as your point of reference. 2. Sing the scale degree patterns in the minor mode to set up the key. 3. Sing scale degrees 1, 3, and 5.
