ABSTRACT
Parental alienation is a confusing, perplexing legal and psychological problem that often defies simple or even complex remedies. Alienation may occur in a variety of settings: in an intact stable marriage, during adolescent turmoil, in a divorce/custody dispute, or in a reconstituted family between a stepparent and stepchildren.
