In pre-war days it was said that one should fear “earthquakes, thunder, fire and fathers.” but since the war we have seen democracy combined with an overall feminization of society. In contemporary Japan, the father has forfeited his authority…. Accordingly, the comic in which “dumb dads” are bringing about the ruin of our schools seems to have become true.
