ABSTRACT

To face the challenge of both external and internal mass migration and displacement resulting from the effects of climate change, Bangladesh must be adequately prepared so that of those to be displaced can be supported with proper resettlement and rehabilitation schemes and projects, while not undermining their basic rights and entitlements. One of the major challenges of resettling climate-displaced persons will be to increase the availability of affordable, safe and well-located land that can be utilized by those requiring new land resources.
