ABSTRACT

As a graduate student in 1961, I decided to devote myself to the study of individual differences and their relation to learning, particularly under instructional conditions. One key influence on that decision was a book J. J. Jenkins and D. G. Paterson (1961) had just published, entitled Studies in Individual Differences. Thus, it is a special treat and honor for me that Professor Jenkins is the general discussant for this conference and book.
