ABSTRACT
Automatic versus controlled processing was explored in an experimental situation including a stimulus-response (S-R) mapping reversal after practice of a constant mapping (CM) condition. Then, this control-inducing process was compared to the control required by first learning the task, and also by an increase in the processing load.
