ABSTRACT
In the present chapter, the advantages and disadvantages of the neo-Piagetian theory described in the previous chapter are discussed. A solution for remedying the weaknesses is then proposed, together with a research strategy for implementing it. Finally, a description is provided of the way in which this strategy was realized, in the research that is reported in the rest of the present volume.
