ABSTRACT

The use of survival analysis is introduced in this chapter by Willett and Singer. The data are discrete information on event occurrence, such as we might have with onset, relapse, and recovery in clinical applications, or particular events of importance (e.g., adjudication for delinquent acts, death, divorce, graduation) in longitudinal studies.
