ABSTRACT
This work is primarily intended to find new ideas that could guide the design of more powerful neurosymbolic hybrid systems. In this chapter, hybrid system means “functional hybrid system” as defined by Hilario (see chapter 2 of this book). Although a great number of such systems have already been proposed, their architectures remain relatively conventional. That is, such systems are made of components which function in a rather isolated way and interact rather loosely.
