ABSTRACT
There is no simple definition of intensive quantitative research, but there are a number of key themes which will provide the framework of the chapter. Intensive clinical research aims to look in depth at mental health phenomena and provide meaningful and penetrating analyses, especially of processes of change and interaction. For this purpose it usually employs the rich data base provided by repeated and/or multiple measures.
