ABSTRACT
Personnel selection is a subject with a long history. The first involvements of psychologists date from around the turn of the century. There is no other subject within W&O psychology about which so many studies have been conducted. There was even a period that industrial psychology and personnel selection were seen as synonymous by the general public.
