Transport corridor planning concentrates techniques of traffic management along a particular access way to reduce congestion and make the best use of the roadway. It takes advantage of a multiplying effect among the different traffic management measures. The urban corridor usually centres on a single radial or circumferential highway and public transport route, but may also include related minor facilities and impacts on nearby land development.
