ABSTRACT
The Brazilian educational system has two basic levels, the primary level comprising eight grades and the secondary level comprising three grades. The curriculum is the same for all schools and no differentiation is made between science and liberal arts majors during the secondary level. University education comes after the secondary level and lasts for 4 to 6 years depending on the area of specialization.
