ABSTRACT
At the end of the symposium there was a 3-hour round-table discussion that was taped and subsequently transcribed. The discussion was animated, if not heated, in places. It reveals excitement about the prospects for understanding dissociative phenomena, as well as skepticism. Needless to say, the discussion was also free-ranging and somewhat disjointed. To present the reader with an intelligible summary, in this final chapter we have distilled, edited, and organized the discussion around several distinct themes.
