ABSTRACT
We present a few examples of associative computations carried out using neural networks. The idea of association is old; the use of neural networks to realise them is new. Association is a memory-based computational technique as powerful in its own way as symbol manipulation, but quite distinct from it. We discuss simple association and discuss learning arithmetic with a neural network, a difficult associative computation.
