ABSTRACT
One of Peter Wason’s classic heuristics for stimulating thought was to pose a problem by inventing a task. Most of the papers in this volume focus on his selection task. A few mention his THOG problem. In this chapter, I am going to use his 2–4–6 task as a vehicle for raising questions about hypothesis testing. 1
