ABSTRACT

Most studies of social dilemmas do not incorporate exogenous influences on the dynamics of the resource or public good (which will henceforth be referred to simply as exogenous dynamics). The renewal functions are usually just a constant renewal rate or a production function influenced solely by what the consumers do. While these kinds of renewal functions have a place in this kind of research, they invite researchers to ignore some important aspects of the interplay between human action and environmental reaction.
