ABSTRACT
The last decade has seen an explosion of interest and controversy regarding the significance of dissociative disorders (DD) in the spectrum of psychiatric disturbances. Through exposition of the effects and sequelae of traumata and abuses, there has emerged an increasing understanding of the complex causality of such psychic injuries in the genesis of dissociative disturbances.
